Extracellular Space The fibrin mesh/clot forms at the site of vascular injury, blocking the leaking blood. Blood Vessel Intrinsic Pathway Aprotinin inhibits plasma kallikrein enzyme in the intrinsic pathway. By doing so it halts the clotting factor cascade and slows down fibrinolysis Aprotinin inhibits plasminogen stopping the degradation of blood clots.
